Andrew Swaffield is the newly elected President of the Theosophical Society in England and Wales. He has served as a trustee for the past three years and leads the Worthing Lodge, of which he has been a member for fourteen years.
His introduction to Theosophy came over twenty years ago when he discovered the Society’s building at Tekels Park, not far from where he was then living. Something in that encounter stayed with him. He began with Cyril Scott’s The Initiate series before moving progressively deeper into the primary texts. He was fortunate to study under two distinguished Theosophists: the late Alan Hughes in Worthing, and the Society’s former President, the late Colin Price.
